FAIRPLAY Value Plus Card
All Customers wishing to write a personal check for groceries or to cash a payroll or government check must have a "Fairplay value Plus Card". To obtain a Value Plus Card you may download the form, print it, fill it out, and return it to the nearest Fairplay store. You will be notified as soon as your application has been approved, so that you may pick up your card.

Personal Checks
When using personal chekcs for groceries present your Value Plus Card to your cashier at the register when you are checking out. No need to stop at the service counter. Personal checks mayb be written at the register for the amount of purchase $20.00. You can only cash one personal check per day with a limit of five personal checks wthin a seven day period.

Payroll and Government Checks
All payroll and government checks must be cashed at the service desk. When cashing your payroll or government check please present your Valu Plus Card. For your safety we may request that you show us a valid Illinois driver's license or a state I.D. card. There is a service charge for checks. This charge is as follows:

$50.00 to $299.00 a $1.00 coupon will be issued.
$300.00 to $800.00 a $3.00 coupon will be issued.

This coupon can be redeemed at the register when you purchase $10.00 or more of groceries for each coupon redeemed. payroll and government checks will have a limit of $800.00. Sorry, but we do not accept two party personal checks, insurance checks or drafts, tax refunds, or money orders. you must notify us of any changes, such as address, name, or employment, in order for us to update your check cashing priveleges. A $10.00 service charge will be added for all returned checks.
